No two downturns are exactly alike. Whether we are facing another recession or a global pandemic. During these times, people set stricter priorities and reduce their spending. But why should we still do marketing these days?
Crisis comes unexpectedly. And this is something that we haven’t experienced before. Although it’s wise to contain costs, failing to support your business and examining what your customer needs now can jeopardize performance over the long term.
Now is not the right time to cower in fear. People are getting enough of that on the news. Understand marketing and really learn how to take advantage of what’s available to you online.

Spend your time on learning these instead of sitting on a couch and binge watching on Netflix. Netflix did great and they shined amidst the adversity. For your business to shine, you have to know how advertising and marketing works. It’s the BEST TIME TO ADVERTISE because it’s cheaper and it’s on sale. TAKE ADVANTAGE of that. Provide good and quality content why you are the LEADER IN THE INDUSTRY.
We need to find opportunities to innovate. Just because we are socially distancing, we shouldn’t do that to customers in which we can distantly socialize with them online. During these times, people want to make themselves look better and feel better, and you have to make an action so that they can TRUST YOU.
Grow your business now when everybody else is slowing down. Be the top of mind and you’re going to WIN and come out STRONGER than before.
Build relationships and continue relationships with your existing customers via email marketing, SMS, and social media. Everyone has the time now to check their phones and these are offering you as business owners a HUGE OPPORTUNITY to keep in touch with your clients, your customers and future clients as well.
You may be forced to adjust in the current situation but there are various ways to overcome it. And one of it is ONLINE ADVERTISING. You can do online consultation on zoom. You can do tutorials or guides. Everyone is feeling crazy right now. People are scared, anxious and vulnerable. Connect with them and speak to them like real people. BE GENUINE in your actions. Motivate them to make them feel better and feel good. Help them during these difficult times. Inspire them instead of adding to their fears. SHOW UP and show people how much you value them.
What you just need to do is to sit down and analyze. Plan and strategize what you are going to do. Revisit your plans. If you know where you want your business to go and what you like your business to be THEN WORK YOUR WAY WHERE YOU WANT TO BE.
This is not the time to hibernate.
This is a good time to be able to focus on what’s important, analyze on ways you can grow and add value to your business, to your community and network.
When the day comes that everything will return to normal, you don’t want to panic on how to move forward again. SPEND TIME NOW TO THINK AND PLAN AHEAD FOR THE FUTURE.
